The Belgian Gestalt Society.
As a professional association, the SBG relies on its foundations to fulfil its missions. Thus, it:
- affirms the importance and necessity of continuous membership in a professional organisation that ethically and deontologically engages each member with respect to their patients, colleagues, any person, and any organisation with which the practitioner will be in contact.
- recognises the importance and necessity for each practitioner to actively contribute to the functioning of the professional organisation to which they belong.
- pays particular attention to issues of ethics and deontology, and strives, both towards clients and its members, to ensure respect for their dignity, autonomy, and freedom.
- pays attention to the quality of training for Gestalt therapists, practitioners, and coaches in their respective specialities, respecting differences, and working to confront their practices.
