Drafting of the new statutes (new legal requirements) and updating of the Internal Regulations. The SBG confirms its membership in the consultation platform for mental health professions as well as in the Belgian Federation of Francophone Humanistic Psychotherapy Associations (FPH) working on the recognition of the national title of psychotherapist

The SBG and the Dutch-speaking Gestalt association form the Belgian Bridge Committee to represent Belgium within the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT)

1st edition of the “SBG Relaxation and Reflection Days” reserved for our members and intended to reflect together on a theme related to our practice, while creating connections around a cultural activity.
The SBG is represented on the Board of Directors of the Belgian Association for Psychotherapy (ABP) and sits on the CEP Allocation Commission

The first European Certificates of Psychotherapy (CEP) are awarded by the EAP to several of our members
2000
Creation of the “Gestalt Network”, a broader grouping for anyone linked to the Gestalt approach, regardless of their initial training
1997
First conference on the theme of Gestalt psychotherapy in Charleroi
1996
The SBG is represented at the first congress of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) in Vienna
1994
Pieter Deturck, Jean-Luc Gatel and Michel Hannard founded the Belgian Society of Gestalt, the first national society bringing together professionals in Gestalt. In 1976, the association Vereniging voor Gestalttherapie was created in Leuven, which merged in 2000 with the Dutch association. The SBG has in fact been almost exclusively composed of French-speaking members.
